If this thing is on my business card, I should probably keep it updated.

For as much time as I spend on Tumblr, I still suck at blogging. That's part of my problem: I have so little to say for myself. I have little to say about my art most of the time, and when I DO have something to say it either only has meaning to me or is just complete and utter bullshit.

So, let's see what I've done since January:

This came as an accident from a failed graphic design attempt for a customer who went in another direction

This is one of the most extensive things I have done in my life. I started out with the mandolin, and ended up with this:

And these were the buttons I did for NewCon.

I've done a few other things, but nothing noteworthy enough to post. I got my artwork stolen by an artist on Redbubble who apparently steals vector art and claims it as his own from all kinds of people. Redbubble took it down, but there still isn't really any way for me to press charges. Oh well. At least it wasn't one of my better pieces. Does that say more about me or him that he chose one of my worse designs to steal?

Anyway. here's an update. I'll try to put something better up in the near future.

New Year, New Pieces

Oh hey. Look at that. I keep forgetting I have this, and I really should update it. It's on my business card, and I'd hate for someone to pick here instead of somewhere else to look at things and miss something neat.

SO. Lots of things. I went to my first convention this week. I went to NewCon in Portland, OR with my friend. We shared an Artist Alley table. She and I both sold buttons and prints. She has a much bigger following than I do, and I actually forgot to advertise I was going. It was a teeny, tiny con, but it was nice and comfortable for someone like me who has never gone before. I sold some My Little Pony buttons, and a Doctor Who print. I ended up having to leave early because I was really sick, but it was a new and interesting experience.

I'm going to be working on setting up things like my Etsy store in the very near future. I want to try and get back into the swing of things. My job nearly sucked the life out of me, and I've been horrendously sick since I quit in October.

I now have a Tumblr for my art which is probably an easier place to catch me (since I'm on my personal one like my life depends on it.) The link is here.

I'll be posting some of my newer stuff up here in a bit. I updated "Prepare Ye", and it looks SO much better now. The original looks unforgivably bad in comparison. I can't believe I was going to send that off to somebody. I'm really glad I went back over it and fixed it. The silhouette of the face looks SO much sharper now, and it looks a hell of a lot more like Victor Garber. (Something to be said for watching 4 seasons of Alias.)

I've done quite a bit of Les Miserables fan art recently since A.) I love Les Miserables almost as much as I love Godspell, B.) It's back and popular and in demand, and C.) because it makes really great art. I'll be posting that later this week.

Keep checking back. I don't know if anyone actually subscribes to this, but if you do - prepare for a landslide of posts coming up. I really want to try and keep up this blog a bit better from now on.
